The Annual Guns-n-Hoses Softball Game

Brought to you by Lakeland Manor and Turri Foods, St. Clair Shores held its fourth police vs. firemen softball game. The game benefited several charities; including the Cops-4-Kids program. The police team, named Guns, took on the firemen, named Hoses, for nine innings of action and awe.

ABC News anchor Nima Shaffe took part on the police team as well as reporting on the event as a whole. A resounding success, the event gave away seventy door prizes to over 500 spectators as well as raise money for charity.

Although on a three year winning streak, the Guns could not win against the Hoses this year. The firemen took the trophy this year, but in the end everyone wins when charities are involved. Next year looks like it will shape up to be even bigger than this year’s game, so keep your calendars marked for the game next year. Lakeland Manor will be a proud sponsor once again.
